PartyKit is pro-Typescript simply because we don’t trust the core development team (ie - ourselves) and it’s nice to have the computer check the work. Computers are good at that. Additionally it gives auto complete to our users, which is dope. Like, uh, riding on rails.

If the Types As Comments Proposal lands: - We'll be able to write TS types in .js files - No more build step for Node apps, monorepo packages, simple browser scripts - Debugging & go-to-definition will take you to the source - No more enums (until they land in JS) I WANTS IT.

1. Build greenfield on lambda/serverless. Exceptions for services that spend long times in IO wait states. 2. Once you understand the utilization, entities, and access patterns you can get better price/performance out of other compute platforms. It's that simple.
