The value in today's announcement is not in the White House's lack of action - it's in the fact they've had to acknowledge that tenants are organising for action to begin with. That's testament to on-the-ground organising, pushing for protections & against predatory landlords

Not having to defend the entire community when someone from the group commits violence is a privilege not afforded to marginalized people. Resist the urge to flatten the narrative. Let complexities be complex, and remember we get to be human, just like everyone else.
