What I’ve learned about Vestibular PT: 1. Doctors will send a referral for vertigo 95% of the time when it isn’t 2. Meclizine is overused and for most not beneficial 3. No patient education 4. Vestibular PT is underrepresented in health care #VestibularPT #NeuroPT #healthcare

A patient came in to the clinic and gave me a cold brew from Dunkin because I cleared her peripheral vertigo in one session when she’s been dealing with it for 20+ years. Wish I could say I haven’t had Dunks in 20 years but she fueled my obsession🤘🏻 #VestibularPT #choosePT

What I’m learning in my OP neuro rotation.... it’s a whole lot of work and stress, with lots of moving parts but its SO rewarding to see a TBI patient walking without an AD for the first time🙌🏻

Seeing a patient who is not diagnosed with PD but demonstrates “parkinsonian” characteristics (ie inconsistent step pattern, flexed posture, shuffled gait). Has anyone used Rhythmic Auditory Stimulation in their treatments? If so, yay or nay? #DPTstudent

Face to face communication in acute care is KEY to success. Every day me and my CI talk to the nurses assigned to the patients and it makes such a big difference. The acute care world moves so fast and it’s very easy to miss something! #AcutePT #DPTstudent
