I found this article enlightening. Those who say that COVID-19 seems random in its spread are not wrong and this explains why. Also offers a strong case for what restrictions could mitigate “spreading events” but won’t overburden the whole system. apple.news/AEeGWztiwSqiwC…

I have Type 1 diabetes. I am healthy enough to run ultramarathons. If I get attacked by a bear & the ICU has trouble managing my blood sugar while caring for my bear attack wounds...and I die... the bear is the cause of my death. Thanks for coming to my TED talk. #COVID19

All lives matter, but not to all people. Those who would treat others with less regard should be held accountable. Systems that unfairly burden others should be reformed. Those less regarded and hampered by systemic imbalances are most often, and historically, people of color.
