This is the beauty of privatization, the state builds it, the private sector gets it for a pittance, runs it into the ground and still blames the government for its failure, after enjoying profits and government subsidies

I could give you some insight, but it would be breach of trust. I built systems that these folks used to do internal assessments and staff development. You cannot run heavy industries on load shedding. The years and years of electricity problems took their toll. My dad used to work for steel mills. You don’t just flick the power switch. These places MUST run 24/7 to be profitable. The delays and shutdowns cause massive problems and runaway costs. Impossible to do business, especially when you have to compete with cheap imports from China.
@MasonwabeWeber It's still the same process, loadshedding was also to bring in privatization. The anc is having a fire sale
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber You maybe wish it was that. It’s the ANC’s sheer incompetence. How does any manufacturing business run with no or expensive electricity and poor logistics? They can’t get the basics right. Then the Chinese imports.
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber Loadshedding and increasingly expensive electricity costs is a product of private sector manipulation... Ask Americans, capitalism destroys everything it costs
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber It must be difficult to be economically illiterate.
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber Now you arecontradicting yourself though, because right here you are saying government IS to blame.
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber Loadshedding was Cyril/Motsepe made. Now the public cries abt high electricity prices - those IPP Feed in Tarrifs dont come cheap. But hey viva private participation in all things utility.
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber Loadshedding stared before the so called privatization. It's ANC that's the common denominator. Stop lying to yourself and others.
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber Lmao buddy your anc is just fucking useless they can't manage anything PVT sector can. Did the private sector force Zuma to work with the Guptas? Lmao
@mo4_lo @MasonwabeWeber You need to be more precise on who you mean by "private". Most of the time these private/public partnerships are coming from within the country. Loadshedding was to destroy what was homegrown so that Chinese private firms can take over.
