I wasn't sure how well my little 3D printed platforms would work, but I placed them in the terrarium and both praying mantises climbed right up, so I guess that's a success. I'm happy. But now I have to find something more useful to do :)

I wanted to make some kind of platforms for our praying mantis to climb around on. I played around with a bunch of ideas, but ended up making these futuristic looking 'trees' that can hopefully be printed and assembled quickly. We'll see how stable they are

Here's our praying mantis terrarium, with all the 3D printed parts. Still deciding between white or black for the end parts. I think it looks good though. And I made a little wall to separate them, so they don't eat each other!

Caught two little praying mantises with my son and made them a terrarium from an old aquarium. I 3D printed these modular lid pieces, with removable screens for ventilation and feeding. They'll get the job done, but I might tinker with the designs some more

3D printed Krampus. I was going to clean up a few things and add more fur but I think he's good for what I need. Now to make St Nicholas and assemble everything else!
