The advantage of PNW vs Brz CFR Asia is eroding (based on FOB replacement). In August it was $15/t, now it’s down to $7/t. USG remains far out of the money. SK buyers keep indicating below $230/t CFR. PNW will likely remain the main origin. #corn

The U.S. beans balance sheet still looks very uncertain. Timing is everything. Roughly speaking, each week China skips the U.S. could mean 1 Mi t less in its ex-U.S. program. So far, China has covered 65% of Oct and ~10% of Nov. This week, Brazil is the cheaper VS LW.

Export Soybean Sales September forward: Nobody should be surprised U.S. has sold no soybeans to China . The biggest concern is, at 3.6 mmt to-date all destinations, it's the lowest to-date U.S. sales in over 15 years.

Export Corn Sales September Forward: At 11.8 mmt to date, it's the best since 2021. But the most impressive part is it's all non-China destinations. The closest non-China sales to date the past 15 years is 7.9 mmt (2016).
