Let me explain why they’re targeting trees: Studies have shown trees were cut down in historically Black neighborhoods, making the area hotter. This is happening in Harlem. One East Harlem block is 31 degrees hotter than neighboring Central Park West due to tree cutting.

The release of this document by the @WHO is wonderful news… …but it breaks my heart 💔 to think how many lives could’ve been saved if they’d done this 4 yrs ago. Their denial has given governments around the world an excuse for inaction on airborne transmission for too long.

The virus that causes Covid is in the air. It can stay suspended in the air (and infectious) for hours. You cannot pop your mask off for a photo just because a room is empty. It is maddening that this basic info is still not being explained or modeled by people with influence.

Before HIV most people didn’t use condoms - especially within the gay community. By early 90s the public health campaigns had been so successful it was considered unthinkable to have sex without them. Humans can change & adapt when there’s a threat - we’re capable. Mask up.
