Plumber came today to sort out a few jobs for us. Kids 8 and 3 were fascinated by what he was doing and followed him around the house to ‘help’. Upon leaving he paid them £10 for their hard work! 🥹

At #Leicester railway station ticket office just witnessed the most wonderful customer service by @EastMidRailway ticket office staff (Sarah). Distressed customer (family event) buying a ticket - comforted, supported and offered a drink. Really lovely to see.

These stats, just released, are a national scandal. Over 15,000 doctors applied to GP training this year. Yet @NHSEngland is letting only 4000 of them do so. Yes. That’s 11k potential new GPs lost to the NHS - when we’re crying out for GPs. Many replaced with PAs - madness.

This really is incredible. I spent half of the pandemic working on medical wards and the other half working in ITU. At times I wore bin bags that I had to make my own arm holes in with flimsy paper masks on the ward and had full respiratory PPE in ITU. It was clearly insufficient
