Writing code is strange these days. When frustrated with CC, I think, "That's it, I'll do it myself." I open the editor, write 20 lines of code, then realize it’d be faster if I dictated this specific code to CC. And then I crawl back to Claude.

After observing token count in Claude Code I've noticed that CC is really, truly the smartest in between 60k-110k tokens. And there's a sharp decline at ~130k tokens Usually anything < 60k tokens is not enough context too.

Opus now limited to 24-40 hours per week. That's about half of what I purchased. @AnthropicAI previous plan was generous, this is severely limited. At least make it 60 hours or something that "no mere mortal could achieve", I'd at least be able to try to work close to the edge

I don't understand this argument. I'm solving problems and building while using AI bots to do work for me. I loved writing writing code before AI, just as I loved recording my own tapes from the radio. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy music on my phone.

Pro tip: When you get mad at Claude Code Opus: - Stop, take a deep breath - Close your eyes - Pretend you changed the model to Sonnet 3.5 - Prompt accordingly - 💥 Opus is amazing again I'm serious. The problem isn't the API or the model. Your expectations grow too fast.
