Antibodies are highly diverse, but most possible sequences are unstable or polyreactive. In this work led by @milind_jagota, we propose a new source of data for modeling constraints from these properties. Our models show clear improvements in predicting antibody dysfunction.(1/n)

This is really terrifying. I've twice caught (intentionally or unintentionally) falsified results just in time. Hence always let science from the lab stew for a bit. We always analyze multiple datasets, have other lab members + collaborators test things out, before we publish. 1/

Preprint on "BWT construction and search at the terabase scale". We can compress 100 human genomes to 11GB in 21 hours, find SMEMs with it, do affine-gap alignment and retrieve similar local haplotypes. 7.3Tb commonly sequenced bacterial genomes ⇒ 30GB arxiv.org/abs/2409.00613
