Lost 40% of my trading gains of this FY in last 2 trading sessions. Such large drawdowns, though rare, do happen in options trading.Need to remain mentally tough and take it in your stride.

Has anyone noticed that at the pre opening session, someone puts a sizeable quantity (around 5000) to sell at exact 9% lower in all top rung stocks ? @_anujsinghal @_soniashenoy

Just watched super super program on human biases by @_soniashenoy and @devinamehra I have another bias. I don’t like to book capital gains in March since it leads to higher taxation. This sometimes lead to opportunity loss.

We shouldn’t get too excited with last 2 days data of Covid. They pertain to 2 holidays when testing are low. Today’s data will give the real picture. @latha_venkatesh @_anujsinghal

Many new traders don’t actually learn to trade, rather they learn to trade a system. This is akin to learning to play a single song on a guitar rather than learning to play the guitar as an instrument and developing the ability to read music.

Gut feel has a bad rap, but not usually from top traders. They realise you can listen to your gut and absorb it into your process. Refining how you work with your gut feel and intuition is crucial for success. But like many things in trading, it takes time to develop.

Shorted BN 36000 straddle for 726. Bought next week for 1300. Don’t intend to adjust unless spot goes lower than 35550 or goes above 36550 (high/low of series). May double up the position also.

Booked profits on my overnight positions. Could have made them run longer. But i have always believed that profits are like thieves, catch them before they run away.
