I think it's great that @TeamNews24 fact-checked the EFF's accusations against Gordhan, but I wonder if fact-checking doesn't then need to be applied across the board. For example, should Maimane's allegations linking Ramaphosa's Bosasa 'donations' not undergo the same?

I always thought the alt right were just people with different ideas that I couldn't understand or agree with, but not necessarily bad people. That was before I engaged with them. They are the WORST PEOPLE.

No, it's not. It's like saying, we have noted the mistake and we have corrected it, and the story did not originate from one of our journalists. That's not even an argument, that's just an explanation and the facts.

Hi Redi, this story comes from African News Agency, not from one of our journalists. We've noted the inaccuracy and will make a correction. It's worth checking if any other publications have the exact same info, as ANA stories are usually carried by most major news outlets.

People misunderstand and get confused by my reporting. Those on both sides of the SA political spectrum accuse me of having an agenda. I don't. And when I write about those on both extremes of the SA political spectrum it's way more out of fascination than anger.

When white people said "but what about Malema?" as a defence for racists like Adam Catzavelos I called bullshit. Now, #EFF supporters are saying "but what about Steinhoff?" as a defence against #VBSBank allegations. Also bullshit. Whataboutism is bullshit in any context.

The EFF come across as the class bully in press releases. "So and so is a liar and we're gonna fuck him up" The DA come across as the class tattle-tail. "The ANC did this and that and this ..." The ANC just come across as the average kid in class that everyone just ignores.
