Focus on making a perfect short film, not a perfect screenplay, it's cheaper and it will help you more. Half of the shorts that won Sundance in 2016 were single-location films. Write the script, record it as a podcast, perfect it, crowdsource the team + budget. Pick a weekend.

I made a video the other day on tiktok about feeling burned out by the pace at which people are encouraged to make stuff in order to “blow up” and ironically enough the video has blown up. They are words I stand by and I feel grateful so many people connected with the video.
