Sadly, Slight is shutting down. At a basic level, we just didn't get enough traction in time. The good news: we’ll soon open source the code! It may even make more sense as an open source project. Check back here in the near future for updates.

A discussion on HN pointed out that the current ratio of comments in "Who wants to be hired" thread vs "Who is hiring" is high, at 0.94. How high is this? We've computed the numbers going back to 2014: slight.run/graphs/colman/… (data and query: slight.run/apps/colman/jo…).

We don't talk about our Datasets feature enough, perhaps we've taken it for granted a bit. So we wrote a blog post to explain why it's worth using in your org: slight.co/blog/dataset-b…. In short, it's like a supercharged data catalog, integrated directly into your data work.

One of the graphs linked in this post (slight.run/graphs/graphen…) does indeed show what has been often rumored: NPM packages have more dependencies on average than other platforms!

Recently we fully replaced Auth0 with @keycloak. We waited a week to Tweet just in case... but so far it's been great. More work up front, but the cost of working with a non-local auth setup is high (and hard to imagine the maintenance burden of Keycloak being too drastic)
