My daughter said I can't go into Bowser's lair because he only loves cute things. I asked her "aren't I cute?" and she looked at me like I said she felt sorry for me

In the third grade during recess a girl asked me if I loved her and I said yes. Then she ran around the playground screaming "Michael said he loves me!!" I was so embarrassed that I faked sick and stayed home the next day.

My daughter theorized that the reason I don't have a skirt is that I'm not as beautiful as her or her mom. Then she got an expression like she came up with a good scheme and she challenged me to a beautiful contest tomorrow.

I did a good good dad style joke and my kids are chuckling and saying it back and forth to each other. I feel powerful and clever. I will be able to maintain this through their teenage years I just know it.

One of the funniest things that ever happened to me was having my colonoscopy cancelled / rescheduled after I'd already consumed the "aggressively clean out your colon - no mercy" liquid you're supposed to take the day before.

I'm at the hospital and there's a sign asking you to help prevent the spread of the flu by washing your hands, staying home if you're sick etc. the word "mask" doesn't show up at all in their signage and it's funny in a "I hate this stupid world" sort of way

I told my class about how when my wife suggested we start putting money away for our kids' college my first thought was "you think college will still exist in 11 years!?" and they all did a bitter laugh. Moral is not high right now
