Hi fans of brick hangers. What are people's thoughts on thermal shims? Sub-contractor packages will say you would need more hangers if you use them, thereby negating the benefit of the shim. But they are also the ones selling you bits of metal. So, to shim or not to shim?

Can someone tell me how a vapour barrier in insulated plasterboard works please? How is it possible to get the edges to abut perfectly so the foil lines up with zero gaps?

Hot fill washing machines. Naively I thought they were a thing you could buy and would go well with a heat pump. It's not a thing you can buy. Does anyone care?
