Teachers have a life outside of school. When a school limits a teacher’s personal life because “they represent the school if they wear the logo or have it on SM as their employer,” it’s a problem. Teachers are not owned by a school. It’s a job. Not a lifestyle. #teacherlife

There’s a severe shortage of pilots right now, but I’m wondering—hear me out on this, what if instead of paying them more we just got some well-intended volunteers from the community to climb into the cockpit and do their very best? Pay teachers. (And pilots.)

Being a patient does not qualify you to be a doctor. Being a passenger on a plane does not qualify you to be a pilot. Watching a movie does not qualify you to be a director. It seems like we should have the same rationale for educators.
