I wanted my rent-tracking dApp to run fully on Web3 tech. But I hit a wall: managing relationships between leases and tenants—especially when tenants have multiple contracts—it gets messy, fast. So I’m adding a good old-fashioned DB. Pragmatic. Got a better idea?

Trust in Web3 starts with trust in the tech itself. Normal people don't care about the latest ZK fad. They care about narratives. Is crypto safe? Why should I trust an arcane tech using an arcane jargon with my money? Shift that narrative, onboard the next billion users.

Every dApp appeals to a diverse set of users. They all play different roles. The rental dApp appeals to tenants first, but I need owners to be onboard too. Solution: automate the monthly certifications of payment -> kill 4 bureaucratic steps they have to do every month.

You can build the perfect dApp. Secure, elegant, desirable. But if folks trust a scrap of paper over your code none of it matters. I want to add payment certifs to my rental dApp - onchain. Still, they may ask: Can I get that in writing? Perception comes first. Trust second.
