My response to inaccurate information which @IrishTimes published on #prostatecancer & #screening was not accepted in @ITletters. Given the gravity of publishing incorrect recommendations & the impact this has on men & front line GPs, it’s important to have the error documented.

Many medications 'in short supply', including some frequently used antibiotics and nebuliser solutions. HSE winter plan (or lack thereof) and hiring freeze.... Brace yourselves folks, Winter is definitely coming.

Honest question and not facetious to our pharmacy colleagues. I'm getting a lot of calls/messages lately regarding medication that is in 'short supply' and could I recommend an alternative...which I do..but are pharmacists not in a unique position to suggest/give an alternative.

@HSELive Free AT POINT OF CARE! These are the ANNUAL fees your GP Practice will get for providing 24/7 care for UNLIMITED appointments. And we also PAY (5k) and WORK(200h) in OOH for the pleasure. This is called capitation and with this fee we pay for ALL running costs of practice.

Honest question. Lockdown was initiated to limit the spread of a highly infectious disease and to prevent hospitals being overwhelmed. Health Service now faces unprecedented demands like never before...but no lockdown, no advice on social distancing etc. Why?
