Last night our students performed a show that I had written. celebrating poetry. Being a teacher can be tough at times and I’m more tired than I think I’ve ever been. But, seeing 60 students performing the night mail by Auden and loving every word will be with me forever!

Final term of ECT ahead. Only got to get my first yr 11s through GCSE, my first yr 13s through A Level, run a department as maternity cover, direct a school production, finalise my studies and organise some ems of year exams. Simple right?

There are times where you get to the printer and someone hasn’t emptied it and all your resources are on green paper and you sigh and empty it and re stack it and go to your desk and reprint and go back to the staff room to pick up your resources. today is not one of those days

In celebration of the anniversary of @bbcdoctorwho I asked my form if they knew whose 60th Birthday it was today. Immediately a year 10 looked up and said “yours?” And I’m just wondering… how many detentions is it acceptable to give?
