Also, chasing the latest variant isn't inherently futile. There are definitely problems with it as a strategy but it's what we do for flu shots and it works. It'd be nice if we could be one step ahead but it's a lot better to be one step behind than not to update.

Paul Offit suggests the bivalent booster is simply a futile attempt to “chase the latest variant.” He’s wrong. The booster is a mix of ancestral + BA.5 Spike mRNA that *broadens* your antibody response via affinity maturation. This safeguards against future variants. #GetBoosted

Other is ISBN 978-0-262-14073-7, I can't find a full free pdf so need to dig later.

This is the source that most people cite as "evidence" of the "brain finishes developing at 25" claim. Note that it is a *review paper* that does not actually provide any support for the claim, just throws it out there.

@tara_chara The claim seems to be a consequence of the telephone affect and bad journalism. The original scientific paper showed some graphs overlapping with 25 years old, and it was a clean number so it stuck. But yeah, 25 is more or less meaningless. psychology.stackexchange.com/questions/2138…
