One way to treat a large area for Spongy moth is to do an aerial spray of BTK. This is the one of the safest and most effective ways to eradicate the Spongy Moth. I had the opportunity to help the @INdnrinvasive with spraying two summers ago. It was a great experience!

Here’s a blast from the past for ya! Earlier this year I found spongy moths at my own home! Here is what you can lookout for! The larva of the Spongy moth is a grey caterpillar with five pairs of blue dots followed by six pairs of red dots! #invasive #Spongy #Moth

Get to know the Spongy Moth. Previously known as the Gypsy moth this invasive insect was brought over from Europe in 1869. Fun Fact: This happens to be the same year Purdue University was established! #Spongymoth #invasive #insects
