I started my first eCom brand when I was 19. It was called PIF. It was essentially toms shoes, but for apparel. For every unit I sold, I would donate the same but in a kids size to a boys and girls club near the customer. My Mom pulled out this note today that I wrote her and my dad. I borrowed $3,000 from them to start PIF. This was a lot of money to them (I grew up lower-middle class in the midwest). This business led to me landing a full-time gig at a marketing agency when I was 20 and allowed me to drop out of college. My goal since the day I wrote this note, was to repay them 1000x. Seeing this made me super emotional…but was a huge reminder of why I’m grinding so hard…to support and take care of family. Yes the new vehicles, the new home, the bigger warehouse…all rad and fun part of the journey. But this is my true WHY.
@zachmstuck X sent my phone a push notification to check this out. What does PIF mean?
@zachmstuck You should be proud! You’ve provided for far beyond your family. Keep crushing!
@zachmstuck The impact when having a clear why is the passion in our journey. Love ❤️ this story!
@zachmstuck Love stories like this. My grandma gave my wife a similar amount of money to buy her first camera, which she used to start a photography biz which helped put me through college. It’s my goal to find small ways to pay back that kindness to others.

@zachmstuck These notes will keep meaning the world to you for the rest of your life. Best things to keep safe.
@zachmstuck Best founders aren't just chasing a big exit. They're chasing a big "why."

@zachmstuck It’s midnight where I live… working on my own saas that would help ecom brands… and saw your post and I remembered why I am doing this…
@zachmstuck That is very very cool. Big things indeed! Love this
