Trans people can tell when you're just using our pronouns to be polite but still very obviously see us as the gender we were assigned at birth.

I just want to say to any young'ns out there who are still figuring out their sexual, romantic, and gender identities. You are unique, complex, and so so so valid. I'm 27 years old and I'm still finding new ways to express myself in a way that feels good to me. Ur amazing. <3

Validation to a trauma survivor is more than letting them know you believe them. After traumatic events, our brains & bodies are altered by these harmful acts. We’re desperate to create more peace inside ourselves. Validation gives us permission to exhale & affirm our responses.

A 15yo Black girl was murdered by police without hesitation after calling the police to protect her. This is why your “who will we call to protect us if the police are gone” arguments are baseless. They do not protect.
