Keeping feet is so important. How many would have lunged/dived? How many give up feet on stiff-arm? Feet keep you in the fight. I love the “climb in” gets jersey with R hand, works to the back and L arm wrapping ball keeping it from being extended, savage.

Is everyone perfect? No, it’s training but two things to look at: The feet work and always getting a couple drives. No hit and die. Two, tight arms. Both in set up and the punch in. No big wide swings.

When a batter is “sitting fastball”, the change up gets him. When a defender is threatened by movement (tippy-toe chops his feet, anticipating the cut) the truck move works best. When D sits for power (rooting the feet, ready to explode) the reacceleration leaves them for dead.

One of the biggest mistakes in pursuit is corner-flagging tooearly, not working with top down defenders. If you have a Cap, build the Wall and keep them in the fatal funnel. How many times a cutback beat 2? Watch again and notice 5 Blue run him into the tackle.

People often ask about players leaving their feet on lower body tackles. My first response is always do you train it? Learning to stay in the drive on the @RichieGrayGSI line of equipment.
