"Average Inflation" just released (Trimmed Mean PCE), came in at 4.1%. From 2009-2019 TMPCE averaged @2%, wages @2.5%. That's why a 2% target, Fed assumes wages will revert to 2.5%. Wages finally ahead of inflation. TMPCE trend good, but too hot if wages decelerate (out Fri).

Yes! When it comes to delays for construction starts, availability of financing now accounts for 65% of the reasons why projects are delayed, supply chain and labor account for the remaining 35%. That's inverted from where it was a year ago... #construction #manufacturing

Had a conversation with a client today about this. Local HR team in China trying to get wage increases for workers, when the unemployment rate in their city is now 5.5% vs. 5.2% nationwide and youth unemployment is 23%. Let alone change in FDI...#sourcing #manufacturing

This is why manufacturing is slow, transportation is in recession, and global trade is sluggish. 64.1% of the product side of the economy is overstocked relative to pre-pandemic levels. Same pattern in 2014...it took till Q3 2016 to unwind itself. #supplychain
