@nervemed The tongue in the image deviates towards the right side when protruded. Hypoglossal nerve (CN XII) innervates tongue muscles. A lower motor neuron lesion of CN XII causes the tongue to deviate towards the side of the lesion because the affected side’s muscles are weaker.
