@CommodoreBlog I was PC Speaker for the longest time, till I finally got an Adlib for a birthday gift. It blew me away.
@CommodoreBlog Dealing with this now. Sound Blaster generally was the best all around while Roland had the best music. Still sometimes the PC speaker was best!

@CommodoreBlog When my dad bought us a gaming PC, it had a nameless "Soundblaster compatible" sound card, that only worked like 10% of the games. In every game, I had to try the whole list crossing my fingers that it works.

@CommodoreBlog I remember the joy of finally affording a "multimedia kit" (Sound card + CD ROM) and play Flight Simulator 5.1 with it. It became a totally new experience. The other luxury was adding a Voodoo Video Card

Gravis. Great stuff from them. I had a Gravis Gamepad and it came with a copy of Commander Keen that I played the snot out of.
