Between the two of them, Warren Buffett and Primecap own about 25% of every major US airline (UAL, DAL, AAL, LUV). The idea that we’re seriously talking about an airline bailout structure that would protect Buffett and Primecap makes me sick to my stomach.

Love this idea. As a small business owner all my income is taxed as ordinary income. We employ 300+ and are in a capital intensive industry. Yet if I sold my business and sat on my couch, my tax rate would drop ~ 35%. Current system discourages investment.

This is the foremost academic proponent of MMT. And people tell me with a straight face that it’s not a stalking horse for a far-left political agenda. MMT is the left’s supply-side Reaganomics and Stephanie Kelton is this generation’s Arthur Laffer.
