Proof once again that how blanket speeds are communicated to drivers needs looking at. Having them at the back of late notices, in the same font and typeface as everything else is asking for trouble. GSM-R general broadcasts were literally invented for this shit.

The fact that Trainline has become the default UK train ticket buying outlet is a very poor reflection on the rail industry. If you can't successfully undersell/out-advertise a third party retailer, then you might as well give up.

@philatrail I work for another TOC. We still use faxes for Late Notices & diagrams. Our mobile device policy prevents technologies being used. As does company ops standards dept fixation with crossing things off/highlighting things as a safety strategy. Blaming Trade Unions is a lazy trope

I should not get winter fuel allowance. Lots of people should not get winter fuel allowance…lots should. A universal scheme was wrong . I’m not sure what the threshold should be but it should be means tested.

Hi James, Please don't fall for the tactics of division. The winter fuel allowance policy is a political decision that has nothing to do with train drivers. However, threatening our leadership and membership is uncalled for, not least because they've not had a pay rise.
