Whaddaya know - the #HamOnt trolls were wrong again😂 “important distinctions” ...trustees mandate is to act in the best interest of the school board, and city councillors...whose members are elected to represent the interests of their constituents... thespec.com/news/hamilton-…
@JohnPaulDanko You know, you didn’t *have* to call people who express concern about a trustee gag policy “trolls”. That’s a choice you made.
@JohnPaulDanko Unfortunate that these amendments were deemed necessary. Just asking Dahab to give her head a shake should have been sufficient.
@JohnPaulDanko @SaundersWard10 Only when a BIPOC trustee speaks up, on issues specific to BIPOC (white Canadians are largely comfortable with genocide, apparently), does #HWDSB decide a muzzle is necessary. Why elect a trustee at all, if they don't represent the electorate? Another empty word? #SharedValues
@JohnPaulDanko So, they should shut up unless given permission to speak? Sounds about right for you. People who don’t agree with your tweets = ‘Hamilton trolls’. I can’t tell if you’ve changed or have simply revealed the real you.
@JohnPaulDanko I don't think the current Chairperson of the Board of Education has a grasp of just what a democracy is and why we elect people. Elections are not held to have elected people dictated to who and how they speak to anyone.
@JohnPaulDanko I don’t know exactly what a school trustee does and why we need them. But when someone campaigns for any elected position they tell voters what their opinion is on many issues. We don’t expect them to just dummy up after they’re elected. @HWDSB needs to get their act together.
@JohnPaulDanko JP’s coming in hot with the Christmas cheer! 😂
@JohnPaulDanko Why are you so snarky & snotty lately? As an elected official aren’t you supposed to act in a more professional & dignified way? Wait, does asking a genuine question make me a troll too? Meh, so be it. 🤷♀️
@JohnPaulDanko Stop mansplaining things to your wife on twitter.
@JohnPaulDanko Well whadya know, the #HamOnt councillor with probably the biggest conflict-of-interest of anyone on city council decides to weigh in school board matters. They're elected officials, John. Elected by constituents. And yet they have zero obligations to constiuents? Gimme a break.
