Marketing for a ‘Movement’ is a balancing act. In an ideal world you only put out nuanced content and can win everybody over. Problem in real world is nobody reads it. Need to hit a pragmatic middle ground where that balance is ‘Good Enough’ for optimal meaningful audience reach

@JayMan471 One problem is that the question of ASI is not defined mechanistically or operationally. We have no idea what ASI even looks like, implementation-wise, even if we could agree on what ASI is. The people talking about it don't even have a rigorous framework for what an agent is.

@JayMan471 The AI 2027 people are already backpedaling, I'd be willing to make a bet about this. It's far more reasonable to be worried about weaponized AI drones or AI control of surveillance and social credit systems.

The left-right spectrum includes a dimension of guilt vs honour ethics. Honour ethics is associated with low trust societies, but the aristocratic egalitarianism of the steppe raider is the high-trust version of honour ethics.
