Here are the latest storm total rainfall reports from Saturday night through Monday morning. Heavy rainfall led to catastrophic flooding in portions of southwestern CT, and northwestern Suffolk. Locally, amounts were over 10 inches. Continue to heed remaining road closures.

A potentially awful situation is unfolding in central Long Island right now. The @nysmesonet's Stony Brook site has already observed ~8" of rain in the past 24 hours, with nearly all of that falling since 6PM. They've observed an incredible 3.5" in one hour. More is on the way.

The supercell that produced the Barnsdall, OK EF4 tornado had a ZDR column area of 60 square km (based on our algorithm) ~1.5 km above the freezing level just prior to tornado formation, consistent w/ other EF4 tornadoes. At 300 m above the freezing level, it was 111 square km.
