During WWII the Americans used artificial intelligence to analyze the most frequently damaged parts of airplanes. The navy added armor to these parts of the planes to better protect them. It was an early win for AI and data analytics.

Application of strain release in traditional veterinary medicine: ...external wounds of cows are packed with crystalline iodine. Application of turpentine (rich in pinene) leads to exothermic eruption. It vaporizes iodine, allowing it to penetrate inaccessible areas of the wound.

Atlanta and Barcelona have a similar number of people and length of rapid transit, but Barcelona’s carbon emissions are 83% lower and mass transit ridership is 565% higher. it’s a perfect illustration of how housing policy and transit policy go hand in hand.
