Lots of opportunities come from cold emails. The best ones (for me) have come from lukewarm contacts where I follow up 6-12+ months from initial contact. This is usually the place where people drop the ball. The first step (to Sahil's point) is to build a base via cold outreach.

@Scottreid_14 @SixSigmaCapital One of the biggest problems with the VC world today is that everyone is rushing - either from PMF or from first base they want to grow, grow, grow. But that’s not how you build a great company. The growth is a consequence of having done the right things. Should not be the goal.
