it's actually insane how much the ability to focus is a competitive advantage in today's brainrotted society. if you can just sit down, ignore your phone, resist doomscrolling, close slack/email for ~3 hours a day, you're basically superhuman at this point.

My life would’ve been so different today if I declined my grad job offer. It took me 5 years before I finally got the courage to quit that job and take a bet on myself. So now I’m doing what I should’ve done 5 years ago. Trust your gut. More often than not , it's right.

My course in university bored me to death. But it was the ‘right’ thing to do. Joining a graduate scheme for a global consulting firm drained the life out of me. But it was the ‘right’ thing to do. Lesson: The ‘right’ thing to do is not always the right thing for you.
