Would be a very smart move for Ukraine because 1) they get to withdraw from an untenable/collapsing position with zero casualties and 2) the goodwill generated with the international community would enhance the global pressure on Russia for a rapid peace deal.

Lee Harvey Oswald fired from inside a large building in a major city at a passing motorcade surrounded by huge crowds, this was a guy who crawled out on an exposed roof with a long gun 150m away from a static event in the countryside. The security lapse here was so much worse.

I support the Kaipara Mayor. He is being genuinely agnostic and fair, and it's about time someone said something. NZers are being forced to use religious prayer in meetings. NOT right. In one business meeting recently, the Karakia was all about Jesus Christ in Te Reo. Not right.

There is no dispute that China's COVID policies are unusually stringent, but I seem to recall Australia had pretty stringent COVID policies at one point, and anyone who protested was instantly labeled a "far right" menace -- rather than brave dissidents standing up for freedom

Just want to say that I appreciate the constitutional lawyers who have spoken up against the entrenchment SOP for 3 Waters. Especially those who are Labour/Green supporters. It's very hard to speak up against your own 'side' these days, but we need experts to be willing to do so.
