It’s mind-boggling that “suicidal thoughts” are a possible side effect of medications prescribed for mental illness. That’s like taking something for gas that may cause diarrhea. We need to do better for those who are struggling mentally, or we’ll keep losing lives to suicide.
Symptoms of a given 'mental disorder' seem to be everywhere. You have two options: 1. Think that many more people 'have it' than originally thought. 2. Question its validity as a disease entity & see the experiences described as continuous with 'normality.' Choose wisely!
Calling someone mentally ill is so offensive. It’s a slur. What do you mean their mind is ill? Seriously, what the fuck are you talking about? And then to try to extend it as if something is wrong with the brain? It’s just so offensive. And wrong.
