I always shake my head when a player under the age of ~16 is labeled “pitcher only.” You’ll can overlook a lot of late bloomers, under-nurture athleticism, and take a lot of fun out of the game with those two words.

I am not a mathematician, something has to be done regarding school funding. Tax a property owner clearly is not working. Teachers are not getting rich, certainly coaches are not. The Student athletes are being penalized for a poor system.

The concept of an 'Elite B' team in youth sports is the ultimate oxymoron. Claiming top-tier status while admitting second-tier reality. Parents would be wise to start understanding the role these teams play in an organization.

No MLB pitcher has thrown >3IP yet, but high school arms threw complete games in FL this week. And, the HS kids will be playing fall ball four weeks after the World Series ends. The first "fix" for the injury epidemic is more about math and common sense than cutting-edge ideas.
