Good to see that the Government may not proceed with the rumoured freeze on PIP. But that's not enough. All the other cuts would still punish disabled and vulnerable people. The Government needs to drop any idea of balancing the books on the backs of the disabled and poor.

8 major hospitals have declared critical incidents in the last 24hrs alone. Some of the 100s patients are stranded on trolleys, in corridors & in the back of ambulances will likely die there. This isn’t normal, inevitable or attributable to viruses alone. It’s a catastrophe.

It's notable how grateful parents are when others show their young kids respect. It's not hard. But I can't stress enough how hostile & resentful our society has become towards kids. Public spaces are increasingly harsh, & with safe spaces being eroded, it's hard for newbies. ⬇️

Oh that every teaching degree (primary and secondary) followed on from a child development degree. Architects train for longer than teachers and we do trainee teachers a huge disservice . Teachers want to do right but so often lack the underpinning knowledge that they need.

Thames Water getting £3bn new loan at 9.75%. To pay nearly £300m int a yr. If loan for 10 yrs that is £3bn int +£3bn repayment = £6bn. 16m customers to pay extra £6bn in bills i.e. £37.50 a year because of debt. Thames debt already £16bn. Customers pay for mismanagement.
