18 yrs ago, when I was first admitted, the dr had never seen someone who was bed bound with M.E.. This was the M.E. consultant at the hospital. So they went down the psych line, trying to put me in a locked ward. How has treatment still not improved? #SaveCarlasLife #ExposeMENow

No clot showed on the scan. The clinician wouldn’t tell me anything else🤷🏻♀️ In fact she wasn’t very nice to me at all, or professional… have made a complaint. Have had stronger painkillers & am trying not to have a complete fricking paddy. #unexplainedsymptoms #complexhealth
🧵 ME and accommodations in hospital. (Small - to them - procedure under local. Day case - everyone turns up at 7.30 and waits their turn) 1. I told Consultant at initial consult about ME and didn’t need to explain why I would prefer an early slot. He understood & agreed ✔️
Scan today. Honestly so relieved to have not been kept in hospital, but absolutely shattered because I’ve been at the hospital or doctors 4 days out of 5 😭 Hopefully it either shows something or doesn’t an improves drastically somehow.

@TheChronicColab I just can’t believe that they are ignoring her stats and then removing the machine, this is just crazy. Is she on a drip, she needs to be getting plenty of fluids, many of us with ME/CFS and POTS need more fluids than normal.
@TheChronicColab It sounded like she was in laryngeal spasm. You can’t fake that noise. We just need one brave HCP to stand up for Carla! But any good staff will be intimidated by what the drs & sister/charge nurse say. They tend to fuel each others narrative rather than think for themselves
@TheChronicColab OMG. This is evidence of a cover up. Drs ignored photos of my low SpO2. I was told it couldn't possibly be accurate. When I felt I was on the verge of dying. Why are they so hellbent on trying to prove there is nothing seriously wrong? They could be investigating instead

@TheChronicColab My recommendations is 1 that doesn't make a beep, and 1 that shows the PI which is often super low for pwME. Just checked mine...
@TheChronicColab When I had a very short stay in hospital for ME + Thyroid storm, my machine was going crazy bleeping for high BP & pulse and the nurses said that it was feeding my "anxiety" (before bloods came back showing thyroid), so they kept turning off & disconnected. Such bad practice.
@TheChronicColab They removed the obs machine - no doubt because evidence is getting in the way of their own false beliefs that ME is not a ‘real illness’ 🤬🤬🤬 They are now straying from ignorance & incompetence to wilful cruelty, negligence & malpractice IMO. What happened to medical ethics?
@TheChronicColab I can’t believe they can just remove the machine, because it shows how poorly she is doing. Is this legal? Could you get a lawyer or police involved?
We should add that after the SpO2 reading dropped to 71% (even though the nurse said Carla was 'deliberately' making noises like she was struggling to breathe) the hospital then removed the obvs machine entirely #SaveCarlasLife

@Shrink_at_Large Thank you Dr Watts for showing solidarity. It can be so difficult for people with ME to be heard and understood. Unfortunately it's causing ME patients enormous harm, as their physical illness can worsen if they exert themselves, over their limit. Patients need appropriate care.
