In this position my opponent had been defending the weak pawn on c7 for some time. I could not find a breakthrough, so started applying some pressure from the opposite flank. Here my opponent played Nf8 intending to prevent Ne6. What did they miss? #chesspunks

I’m thoroughly enjoying this reprint of Secrets of Pawn Endings. It’s like bumping into an old friend. Here black has a protected passer, but white to play has pawns on both flanks and can prevail with a well executed plan. #chesspunks

Out of all my tactics books, my favorite is probably "Endgame Tactics" by Van Perlo. The quality of the puzzles he collected are first-rate, and the solutions are often wonderfully satisfying and sometimes even astonishing. What are some of your favorites, #chesspunks ?
