My then-6-year-old daughter etched a small smiley face into the paint on the side of our new car. I've also gotten a lot of guilt trips out of that smiley face in the ensuing 6 years. I can only be this sanguine because it's been 6 years. And it was only a scratch.

I leaned up against our wrecked car, failing to ignore the drunk driver as he swapped stories with the police officer, all the while the officer's partner snuggled with the drunk's sister; 72 hours later, we were on a Greyhound bus that would fail to take us back to college.

Experience from my 3000+ mile road trip confirms @sonicdrivein is a total crapshoot. Love the food and drinks, but the service varies from middling to just awful. Same with the app, but I suspect part of that is dealing with the same local franchise problems.
