As I posted Friday, the government shutdown fear mongers are sadly misguided. In 21 shutdowns since 1976 there’s never been a major market sell off in any of them & most result in rallies. $SPX up 34 handles as I type this. 🔽

In 3 decades of trading the government shutdown “Financial Armageddon” ritual is the biggest nothing 🍔 there is. Every Single Shutdown is resolved. Almost all in the 11th hour when the cash market is closed. End of PSA. 🤣

$SPY back tested the ascending wedge & filled the gap at $662. It got a nice smack down. I expect a choppy day onward & won’t trade until the close (maybe). Next week is EOQ on Mon & Tues & they tend to be prone to whipsaw.
