We are seeing the impact of many people who arrived in Canada after escaping war on the African continent - in our emergency departments - the effects of being on the street with no access to safe shelter - all 3 levels of govt have played large role in creating these barriers.

Just a thought. A hip/knee replacement costs just over $10K in Canada. Ontario held back $5.6B in Covid funding. That would have paid for Ontario’s surgery backlog more than twice over.

2/2 We would have to boost health funding by over $7 billion a year JUST TO BE AVERAGE. When it comes to funding public services, achieving mediocrity is a stretch goal for Ontario.
