This is just the tip of the iceberg. Our police were given temporary and limited access at the Port of Montreal. Imagine how many cars they could recover if they were given jurisdiction to inspect shipping containers for stolen vehicles all the time. We had in the range of 30,000 cars stolen in the GTHA last year alone. 80% headed to international markets through the Port of Montreal. Project Vector is unequivocal proof we need scanners at the Port of Montreal and jurisdiction given to law enforcement to inspect. This is the only way to immediately stop the auto theft crisis in central Canada. Everything else is just window dressing.

@patrickbrownont @joe_warmington When the federal government and federal police services do nothing about it, I bet they are getting a piece of the pie. This is when provincial police and governments start a pressure campaign to expose them
@patrickbrownont WHY is it the federal government needs to step up and starts solving the problem in Ontario. Isn't that Premier Fords responsibility?? @fordnation
@patrickbrownont This tells me the only reason why our cars are being stolen nonstop and costing us tons of money is because higher level politicians won't allow police to do their jobs. This tells me the politicians above you WANT our cars to be stolen.
Instead they send all of the officers after the axe the tax protesters LMAO we have total clown leadership in law enforcement unfortunately. It sucks because I'm sure a lot of the people on the ground joined for good reasons and want to do a good job. We need to fire the upper decision makers ASAP!
@patrickbrownont Would this not be @rcmpgrcpolice jurisdiction considering its interprovincial crime?
@patrickbrownont @JustinTrudeau do something on this!
@patrickbrownont The feds could force auto manufacturers to install tracking on all vehicles *activated solely by owners through let's say a cell phone or app*. Or insurance companies could team up with tech providers and give a discount on comprehensive. Solutions exist.
@patrickbrownont Seems like a no brainer, who would draw up that requirement and how fast could they do it?
@patrickbrownont Why don’t they have jurisdiction to inspect all the time?
@patrickbrownont @brianlilley 💯 anything less makes govt complicit in the theft
