Architecturally @IstioMesh does a great job of adapter: integrating with @kubernetesio natively by watching its CRDs, translating them and pushing them via @EnvoyProxy 's data plane via xDS. The beauty of it: neither k8s and envoy realized otherwise.

#log4jshell both sysdig.com/blog/mitigatin… and isovalent.com/blog/post/2021… can detect and mitigate it via eBPF based monitoring and k8s network egress policy, and even with a denylist for egress in cilium.

I always wanted this when I was managing GKE clusters at Cruise. It would have saved us many hours and prevented several incidents! Now you can change taints and node labels without having to do a long and tedious blue/green node pool migration. cloud.google.com/kubernetes-eng…

buildpacks.io is dope with support from projects like pack,kpack, skaffold,tekton. Imagine we are able to deploy them freely on any anthos enabled cluster.
