Parent of a child with #selectivemutism told me that their child was continually placed into detention at school for not speaking to their teachers. Awareness and support needs to be raised to prevent this from happening. Just can’t imagine how that child must have felt #mySLTday

Loved seeing @stammer_teacher in the BBC’s “I can’t say my name, stammering in the spotlight” and the message he promoted around stammering with confidence! As well as Elaine Kelman’s @thepalincentre message that it’s okay to talk about stammering!!
