You could argue that Ozempic doesn't address the root cause of obesity, because it doesn't help people keep the weight off if they come off. But if you do this, then you'll have to say that no known diet or exercise plan does. Quit the drugs, quit the diet -> regain similarly.
So, yes, to be clear, GLP-1RAs like Ozempic do treat the root cause of obesity: eating too much. You may argue that we need to figure out why people are eating too much. But ultimately, it's really simple. People who can be fat, will be fat when they're rich enough.
